School Bus in ditch

Shortly after 7:00am on Dec 18, Ridge VRS was alerted to a school bus into a ditch on Park Hall Rd. Ambulances from Ridge, Lexington Park (Co. 38/39), and Second District (Co. 6; Valley Lee) responded, along with fire engines from Bay District VFD (Co. 3). The bus was delivering children to Spring Ridge Middle School when it went off the road and struck a utility pole. There were approximately 30 students on the bus. On arrival, the bus was covered with live electric lines. Ten students and the bus driver were transported to St. Mary's Hospital in multiple ambulances, all with minor injuries.
