June 24 - Co 49 was dispatched for the near drowning at Pt. Lookout State Park in the area of the picnic area. Ambulance 498 responded within minutes. The crew arrived on the scene to find a 27 year old male who had been pulled from the water. Witness said that the man's wife had performed rescue breathing on him prior to our arrival. The man was conscious and breathing, but his breaths were labored. Medic 1 arrived on the scene and the decision was made to fly the patient out to Washington Hospital Center. Firefighters from Ridge VFD helped package the patient and established a landing zone for Trooper 7.
