St. Mary's County Fair Parade and Standby Duty

On Saturday September 26th, members from the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad (RVRS) participated in the St. Mary’s County Fair Parade with Ambulance 497. Driver Leo Gillespie and Lieutenant Christina Gillespie drove Ambulance 497, a 2006 Ford E-450 Super Duty, in the parade along with Truck 7 from Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, Engine 52 from Seventh District, Avenue's Historic Chevrolet Fire truck, and Engine 22 from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department. Ambulance 497 received the 3rd place trophy in the Emergency Vehicles Division. A great time was had by all.

Driver Marie Carroll and Equipment Officer Alex Ketner were standby crew members on Saturday from 12 pm – 6 pm in Ambulance 497, offering medical assistance to all fair goers.
