Two Alarm House Fire in Hermanville Brings out Ridge VRS
By Lieutenant Scot Best
July 1, 2008
At 0247 hours, Bay District VFD (Station 3), NAS Pax River FD (Station 13), and Lexington Park VRS (Station 39) were dispatched for the report of a House Fire. First arriving engines reported a working fire which upgraded the box assignment to a working house fire, adding BDVFD Station 9 and Water Supply 5 (Seventh District VFD; Company 5). On scene command decided that, due to the fire load, a second alarm needed to be sounded. This brought out Ridge VFD (Company 4), Second District VFD&RS (Company 6), Hollywood VFD (Company 7), and Ridge VRS (Company 49). Ambulance 498 responded shortly after the second alarm sounded.
Once on the scene, the crew from A498 joined A398 at EMS Rehab. All firefighters were checked following their workload on the fireground. There were no injuries reported during this 2 alarm fire.
