Triathlon Standby at St. Mary's City

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad with the assistance of Ridge VFD, Second District VFD&RS (Valley Lee), Seventh District VFD, and the St. Mary's County Advanced Life Support Unit provided a stand by at St. Mary's City for the Kinetic Multisports Triathlon.

This Triathlon consisted of two courses: an Olympic and a Sprint. The Olympic consisted of a 1500 meter swim, 25.5 mile bike, and 10K run. The Sprint consisted of a 750 meter swim, 13 mile bike, and 5K run. This year they had approx. 450 athletes participating

Special thanks to Boats from Co 4, Co 5, & Co 6 for assistance in the water having to assist several swimmers and the St Mary's County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Division, who provided traffic safety for all participants.
