496, 498 On Commercial Building Fire

At 2213, Company 49, along with numerous other fire and EMS companies were alerted to area box 3-11, for the working commercial building fire at Spring Ridge Middle School. Company 3 was initially dispatched for a brush fire in the area of the school. They arrived on scene, immediately upgrading the assignment with smoke showing from the A/B/C sides of the school.
Ambulance 496 (Chief Drury) marked up promptly after the dispatch, with Ambulance 498 (Lt. Morris) marking up shortly after. Both units arrived on scene and staged on the Delta side of the school with the ambulances from Lexington Park. Shortly after the fire was extnguished, all medical units were released. Both units were back in quarters by 2315.
